Žaborić

Žaborić- a town situated 10 km south of Šibenik is an oasis of peace, adorned by a sand and gravel natural beaches. The surroundings emphasizes the natural beauty with interesting hiking and biking trails. Along the coast there is a long promenade that gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy evening walks and sunsets. Once upon a time there existed a dense pine forest after which the place got the name "behind the pine" or zaboric. The settlement was established 1857. Departure of residents from the island's inhabitants, because they wanted to be closer to their fields and vineyards. Locals traditionally organized  famous festival on feast St. Ana, 26 July and namesake church, built in 1998., Dominating the village along the main road. Also nearby are other tourist destinations: Vodice, Šibenik, Primosten, Trogir and  Split with its wide range of nightlife. There are also national parks Krka and Kornati and inhabited islands Krapanj and Zlarin.
